Burial as Your Choice

Cairns City Council offer some different options to suit the individual. The choices range from a site at Martyn Street, Forest View, Babinda or Gordonvale. You have the option of the Lawn Plaque, Lawn Headstone, Mausoleum and Monumental Sections. Plaques and Headstones are a personal choice. We can assist you with these at the time of arranging funerals or at a later date. Please click on the link for a list of Regional Council Cemeteries.

Cremation as Your Choice

Cremation is fast becoming the preferred method of farewell of over 70% of Australians. The funeral service can be held in our chapel or any other venue of choice.
Chapel of Memories has a lovely classic, modern decor, is fully air conditioned and can seat 160 people. We have two large plasma screens to accomodate the families who wish to have a slide show of their loved one during the service.

There are some options to a cremation:

Direct Cremation

No formal service, but with a memorial service being held at a later date.

Formal Service

Being held at a church, chapel or another location of your choice, with either a Celebrant or Minister.
