Cairns City Council offer some different options to suit the individual. The choices range from a site at Martyn Street, Forest View, Babinda or Gordonvale. You have the option of the Lawn Plaque, Lawn Headstone, Mausoleum and Monumental Sections. Plaques and Headstones are a personal choice. Cremation as Your Choice Cremation is fast becoming the preferred method of farewell of over 70% of Australians. Cairns Crematorium provides a beautiful, tranquil setting with magnificent views and immaculately maintained memorial gardens. Fully air-conditioned chapel to seat 100.
Direct Cremation No formal service, but with a memorial service being held at a later date. Formal Service Being held at a church, chapel or another location of your choice, with either a Celebrant or Minister.
