  1. To Judy and Family we were very saddened to hear of Don's passing and would like to extend our deepest sympathies. Don was my cousin, my father Ralph Ross and Don's mother Lorna were siblings.

My husband, Tom Duffy, has fond and some very funny memories of Don from their Surf Lifesaving days.

    Vale Don.

  3. When I first came to Cairns in 2005 starting work at Cairns Base hospital in the Pharmacy, meeting Don was certainly a scaring experience but as the weeks months and the years went by he became such a good friend but to philli and I was more like an uncle although we use to joke with him all the time. What an amazing man to be working in the same place for so many years and knew so much and when you asked him something he knew it all.

    love you Don always

  4. I feel privleged to have known DC for the last 6 years. He was a loyal and generous friend and great fun to be around. He brightened my days with his wisdom and dry humour. I enjoyed reading many books that he gave me and we all loved having a beer with him at the West Cairns bowls club. It has been a bit weird without him at the hospital since he retired. I send my condolences to his family. This world is poorer without him in it.
    Cheers my friend, Love Leanne
  5. Don is my cousin - the elder son of Lorna Ross ( my father -Ralph Ross's elder sister). To Judy and family my sympathies& happy memories of growing up in Cairns as part of a large extended family.
He loved his family, footy and his work at CBH.
Long May his laconic smile continue.
  6. Having known Don for 16 years I am very sad to hear of his passing. He recently retired from Cairns Base Hospital after 50 years service and he was considered a member of our Hospital family. Condolences to his family.
"While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil."

    kindest regards
    Deb Carter ( ICU )
